Power Coogs Contest
Contest Rules
Eligibility
Power Coogs Contest is open only to legal residents of the state of Texas who: (a) are 18 years of age or older, (b) show proof of residency in the state of Texas at the time of entry. Additionally, you must have no past due balance with your current retail electricity provider.

Active EO members: Your EO balance must be paid down to $0 to win.
​
Non EO members: You do have to be an Energy Ogre member in order to win. In this case, the winner must sign-up as a member to officially claim the prize. The winner has 14 days to become an Energy Ogre member before forfeiting the prize.
You must have no past due balance with your current retail electricity provider.

Contest Period
The contest begins on September 2, 2020 and ends at 11:59 p.m. CST on September 30, 2020.

How to Enter
To enter the Power Coogs Contest, interested entrants must first adhere to eligibility rules and guidelines to complete the following:
Step 1: Run our savings calculator to determine if you're currently overpaying for electricity.

Step 2: Post a screenshot of your savings results to your favorite social media platform or the UH Athletics contest announcement on Facebook. Also, please tag Energy Ogre's Facebook page.

Step 3: If you're already an Energy Ogre member, post a picture of your new or old bill, stating your savings percentage or total amount saved in dollars. For example; "Energy Ogre saved me 37%!" or "Energy Ogre saved me $110 last month!"

Announcing a Winner
Energy Ogre will randomly select a winner at the end of the contest on September 30 via random.org. If the randomly selected winner is not a member of Energy Ogre by the end of the contest, they must become a member within 14 days to claim the prize. Winner will receive one full year of electricity paid by Energy Ogre. This will be paid in one lump sum with proof of the past 12 electricity bills.
